ACMI presents David Bowie is, this acclaimed exhibition comes all the way from London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Exclusive to Australasia, this groundbreaking multi-media experience celebrates 50 years of one of the era’s most influential artists in rock, pop, fashion and performance.

Objects from the David Bowie Archive will be presented in an immersive exhibition telling the enthralling story of the boy from Brixton who became an international cultural icon.

The David Bowie is exhibition boasts over 50 legendary costumes, plus, original stage set designs, handwritten lyric sheets, album artwork, rare film, video and photographs, interviews with collaborators, and incredible sections showcasing Bowie’s impact as a live performer and screen star.

David Bowie is will appear in Melbourne for a strictly limited season- opening July 16 and running until November 1. The exhibition is located at ACMI Federation Square.
