What is the difference between Plaza and Heritage apartments?

Our Plaza rooms are located in an annex to the main building, which can be accessed from the lobby area via a corridor. These rooms offer the best value for those on a budget and include all the Treasured Guest Perks if booked directly with us. All rooms in the Plaza building overlook a laneway or building. Please speak to reservations if you want a find out more about different room types in the Heritage Building if this option is not suitable for your needs.

Can I get a room with a view?

Whilst only a limited number of Heritage rooms offer this, to guarantee a view looking over Queen or Collins Street we recommend you reserve a Heritage King Loft or Heritage Balcony Suite. The Heritage Balcony Suites have an added advantage whereby they have a small balcony where you may enjoy a morning coffee or a drink overlooking the city at sunset.

I’m arriving early, may I check in before the standard check-in time of 3:00pm?

Whilst we are unable to guarantee an early check-in before 3:00pm we do recommend you visit the hotel as soon as you arrive in Melbourne. Should your room be unavailable you may register your details, store any bags and even make use of our iconic Treasured Guest Lounge for a tea, coffee or a snack. Guests who have registered with a contactable mobile number will also receive a message to let them know when their room is available. Should you be arriving in the early hours of the morning and wish to enter your room straight away, ToC recommends booking the day previous to your arrival, so you can check in and get some rest before exploring our beautiful city. Priority is given to guests who have booked directly with us.

Do you offer daily housekeeping?

We provide a standard housekeeping room service every 3rd day. For reservations of 7 nights or more, a full room turnover will also be provided. We can personalise your housekeeping requirements to meet your needs, please notify Reception to make any requests or to chat to us about your options. We also provide ‘No Service Required’ door handle signs for your use.

Do you offer room service?

The Bank Restaurant on site is an external business to Treasury on Collins, however, guests are able to order online from their menu and pick up the meals at the restaurant to enjoy in the comfort of your room. More and more guests are ordering from Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Menu Log and deliveries can be picked up in the lobby by guests.

Is this a family friendly hotel?

Yes, definitely! Our apartment style accommodation is suitable for families where we offer 1 and 2-bedroom apartments including separate living areas, kitchenettes and laundry facilities. We also have cots available for babies and toddlers and all kids under 14 eat and drink for free in the Treasured Guest Lounge. Our spacious apartments provide a lot of room for small and big kids and each room comes with free Netflix for entertainment. For extra bedding or use of the sofa, a fee is charged per night.

Do you have 24 hour reception?

Our Reception Hours are 6am to midnight every day. For after-hours check-in a key-safe is used and for assistance we have an onsite night manager who can be contacted for any emergencies or issues.

Is there a gym onsite?

We have a modest gym on site with modern facilities that is enough for a good workout. If you prefer a more intensive workout, we can recommend fitness centers close to the hotel.

Can I buy a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers are available for purchase for any occasion. Vouchers can be purchased for a monetary value, which allows the recipient to use it towards any specials or packages. The Treasured Guest Perks comes with every voucher including complimentary breakfast, wifi, wine at wine down and late check-out until noon. Best of all, gift vouchers are valid for 2 years from date of issue. Gift vouchers can only be purchased by calling us on 03 8535 8535.

What transport is available to get around?

There are many different transport options in and around Melbourne. The train and tram run to almost all major attractions in Melbourne and there are also taxi services available.  Treasury on Collins is located within the free city tram zone (visit Public Transport Victoria) and the tram stop is on Collins Street.  A number of bus routes travel along Queen Street including buses to Ringwood, Box Hill, Abbotsford and Bundorra (View Bus Routes).

From the airport the options on offer are:

  1. SkyBus – The Skybus runs every 20 minutes from the Tullamarine airport to Southern Cross Station on Spencer Street. From there, it is a short walk, tram ride or taxi down Collins Street to our hotel. A one way ticket on the SkyBus is $19 per adult or you can purchase return for $38.
  2. Taxi – A taxi costs approximately $65.

What can I do nearby?

As we are centrally located within the Melbourne CBD there is a large choice of entertainment, shopping and dining options available.  Many of Melbourne’s major attractions can be accessed via the free tram network in the CBD which you can board in Collins Street.  There is also a supermarket located right next door for your convenience.  If you’re looking for ideas please visit About Melbourne – Things to Do

Do you have free wifi?

Complimentary business grade wifi is available in all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. The wifi service is fast, reliable and unlimited.

Do I have to pay for breakfast?

If you book directly with us then you can enjoy a complimentary self-serve breakfast on the Mezzanine. Alternatively, a fee of $18 per person/per day applies.

What is Afternoon Wine Down?

Guests who book directly with us can enjoy complimentary wine during Afternoon Wine Down in the private guest lounge on the Mezzanine every day from 4pm to 6pm.  A charge of $8 per glass applies for guests who have booked their accommodation via a 3rd party.

What is the extra person charge?

Our rates are based on 2 people sharing a room, except for the 2 bedroom apartment which is based on 4 people. All apartments have a sofa/bed in the living room and an extra person charge of $50 per night applies to use the sofa/bed or roll-away bed. Please specify at the time of booking if you have preference for a roll-away bed.  The maximum number of guests allowed for each room type differs for each apartment and is specified within the description for each room type.  Cots are complimentary and need to be requested prior to arrival.

Do you price match?

Our lowest available rates are published on this website, plus if you book directly we also offer free breakfast, daily glass of wine and flexible cancellation.  If you find a lower rate anywhere else for the same dates, the same room type and the same cancellation policy then let us know and in most circumstances we will match or better the offer.

Do you provide parking?

We don’t have parking on-site but we have sourced off-site car parking for the convenience of our guests. We offer a flat fee of $28 per vehicle per 24 hours with multiple entries and exits, which can be pre-booked with the hotel. Do you have a room with single beds?

Our Heritage King Suites and Heritage Apartments all offer the choice of 1 x King bed or 2 x Single beds.  Please specify your choice at the time of booking. If single bedding is not requested then the room will be configured with a King size bed.
