AFL Grand Final

When: October 1st 2016
Where: Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Victoria

Considered the biggest day on the Melbourne sporting calendar, the Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final is not to be missed! Not just a huge sporting event – it also features top half-time entertainment.

The big match will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Saturday the 1st of October 2016.

But there is also an exciting series of events in the lead up to the AFL Grand Final including:

Monday 26th September from 5pm – Brownlow Medal
Hosted at the Crown Entertainment Centre. The red carpet presentation starts from 5pm and the live medal count commences at 7pm.

From Wednesday 28th to Saturday 1st October – Toyota AFL Live Site
Enjoy family-friendly FREE entertainment a this great event that will be held in Yarra Park featuring heaps of entertainment, displays and giveaways.

Friday 30th September from 12pm (noon) – AFL Grand Final Parade
The Friday before Grand Final Day has been declared a public holiday!  So come and watch the two teams competing in this year’s Grand Final. The parade will start at the Old Treasury Building (Spring Street) and will finish at the AFL Live Site in Yarra Park.

Friday 30th September – Grand Final Eve Dinner
Entertainment by Lehmo, Peter Hellier, James Reyne and many others.

Saturday 1st October from 8am – Grand Final Breakfast
This will be held at Plenary Hall at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) and hosted by Tony Jones and a panel of experts including Brian Taylor, Matthew Lloyd, Matthew Richardson, Cameron Ling, Luke Darcy, Danny Frawley and Wayne Carey.

Saturday 1st October from 2.30pm – Pre Game Show
Entertainers yet to be confirmed.

Saturday 1st October from 6pm – Premiership Party
Come and see some great entertainment as well as the premiership team at this post-match celebration held at the MCG where gates 4, 5 & 6 are open to the public from 6pm.
