Starting in Flinders Street and heading north the walk meanders through a labyrinth of lanes, until the finishing spot on Little Lonsdale Street.
Some of the highlights that you’ll see along the way include:

*admire the beautiful mosaic floor and grand dome of the historic Block Arcade which dates back to 1891, and was the favoured place to shop at the turn of the century.
*if you time your walk right you can stop and hear Gog and Magog strike (on the hour) in the famous Royal Arcade, built in 1869 it’s Melbourne’s oldest surviving arcade.
*cross Elizabeth Street then walk up scenic McKillop Street, a renovated avenue of bluestone and bricks.
The Melbourne Heritage Walk is two kilometres long and takes approximately one hour in one direction, the grade of the walk is classed as easy.
