Melbourne Writers Festival

Described as an event for ‘Everyone Who Reads’, Melbourne Writers Festival (also known as MWF) is a two-week celebration for writers, readers and thinkers.

Held annually in August, the festival presents the talent and ideas of hundreds of writers, through a lively program that includes storytelling, conversation and discussion, live performance, music, art, intellectual debate and educational programs.

MWF boasts events for all ages, and more than one third of the program is free.
