January 15, 201860 seconds wine down with Haries
January 2018
For most of you who have joined us at Afternoon Wine Down, you will know this familiar face when pouring you a glass or two of wine. We sit down with Haries and get the wine down on him.
How long have you worked at ToC?
I commenced in March 2017 and have poured hundreds if not thousands of glasses of wine from June that same year.
What do you like about your job?
Connecting with guests and talking to them about their travels and life in general. It’s very rewarding.
Are you a red or white wine drinker?
Definitely a red, shiraz to be more precise.
Strangest request by a guest?
I was flattered to be asked out on a date but of course I kept it professional and politely declined.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love visiting and exploring old country towns in Victoria.
Dog or cat lover?
Can I say fish?
What is your preferred pillow from our pillow menu?
Feather & down.
Favourite bar in Melbourne?
Il Solito Posto on Collins Street.
What super powers do you want?
Teleporting. It would make commuting to and from work a lot faster.
Book you’re reading right now?
‘See what I have done’ by Sarah Schmidt. I was inspired to buy the mystery crime novel after chatting to guests who liked reading crime novels.
If you have any other questions for Haries, head to our Afternoon Wine Down from 4-6pm daily on the Mezzanine floor.
